Authorities: Man stole $500,000 worth of cell phone tower batteries

An Arlington man stole over $500,000 worth of batteries from cell phone towers across the state, authorities said. Hood County Sheriff’s Office investigators arrested Cameron Thomas Fountain, 22, and Alexandria Katherine Moore, 21, arrested Thursday night. Moore, also from Arlington, assisted Fountain on some of the thefts, authorities said. The charges stem from a Hood County case in the 3500 block of Williamson Road where 12 batteries were taken from a cell tower site, according to authorities.
