May 16, 2013

Officials stated Thursday morning that seven people are still unaccounted for in the aftermath of the tornado that devastated the Rancho Brazos subdivision Wednesday evening. Sheriff Roger Deeds said the death toll remains at six. All of the deceased are adults, but no other information on them is currently available. People still trying to reach loved ones in the area can call a special number with five lines in a phone bank set up to answer questions – 682-498-8010. Anyone who needs a place to stay because of the storm damage is welcome at First Christian Church of Granbury, 2109 Highway 377 West, just past Pirate Drive, in Granbury next to Tractor Supply. Red Cross officials and other volunteers are on hand, and food and water supplies are available there.
