No help needed just yet

Jeff Watson with the Chisholm Trail Chapter of the American Red Cross told a group of about 60 representatives of the faith community and local nonprofits that plenty of supplies are currently on hand to to assist those displaced by the tornado. The people of Hood County, he said, have been “generous to a fault.” Rick Frye, former Granbury mayor and an expert in management coordination, said volunteer work crews to help with the clean-up probably will not be needed until some time next week. The area has to be secured, and insurance representatives need to survey damaged and destroyed homes.
