Three Granbury students earned Star of the Year Awards during a seven-week summer Performance Course that concluded here July 31.
The strength and conditioning course included a high-intensity group for high school athletes and a separate intermediate group for middle school students.
From Action Middle School, 8th grader Caden Ahler and 7th grader Raegan Brown earned Star of the Year awards in the intermediate program.
Granbury High School junior Keelen Ellison got the award in the high intensity program.
The athlete from each group that most “embodies the characteristics of belief, leadership, consistency, attitude and desire” earned the awards.
They participated in two-hour training sessions four times a week, with weight training and agility drills.
The athletes were from a variety of sports – baseball, basketball, football, softball, swimming and volleyball.
