COLEMAN GOING INTO SIX-MAN HALL OF FAME

Former Tolar coach Jim Coleman will be inducted into the Six-Man Coaching Hall of Fame tonight. Ceremonies will take place at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Stadium in Wichita Falls during the Six-Man All-Star Game.

Coleman coached the Rattlers from 1962-76, posting a 102-46-3 record. His teams won seven district championships.

Three times Coleman’s teams won 11 games, which is still a Tolar record. In 1966 the Rattlers finished 11-0-1 and tied Turnersville for the regional championship, which was as far as six-man teams could advance then.
