Tennis Festival again a success

The Fourth Annual Hood County News Tennis Festival was once again a big success. The event raised around $6,000, much of which will go to a scholarship fund for graduating Granbury High tennis players. In the annual exhibition match featuring Pecan Plantation tennis professional Gonzalo Nunez and GHS coach Jeff Bramlett, Nunez and his partner, Janine Koleta of Slovania, rallied to defeat Bramlett and his daughter Kate, 8-6. Kate, a GHS player, and Koleta then played GHS teammates Peter Mueller and Joel Rodgers in the first Battle of the Sexes, with Mueller and Rodgers winning 6-3, 6-4.
