Lady Pirates get No. 3 seed for playoffs and will face Burleson Centennial (21-7) in bidistrict Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Glen Rose High School. Arlington Heights is the No. 4 seed and will face District 8-4A champion Cleburne (22-7) in bidistrict.

Kyle Hickey hit a layup with two seconds left, eliminating the Pirates from postseason contention. The Scorpions will face Aledo Tuesday in Fort Worth with the final playoff  berth from 7-4A on the line. Jacob Taylor led Granbury with 18 points, all on six 3-point baskets. The Pirates led 33-30 as the final quarter got under way. Mitchell May had tied the game at 45 with 1:06 left and gave the Pirates a chance to win when he took a charge from Hickey with 49 seconds left, but the Pirates could not capitalize. Granbury called timeout after Hickey’s basket, but could not get off a final shot. The Pirates won the first meeting in Fort Worth 54-26. Granbury has lost its last six district games by a total of 17 points.
