NCTA benefits from four-team scrimmage

The North Central Texas Academy Pioneers conducted their first preseason football scrimmage Friday night, packing in extra experience by having three teams visiting and taking turns against all of them. The teams paired off against each other on each end of the field from the 30-yard line for about 10 offensive and 10 defensive snaps before switching opponents. Dallas Tyler Street Christian outscored the Pioneers 2-1, but NCTA outscored Fort Worth Hill School 4-1 and also topped Kerrville Our Lady of the Hills, 2-1. the second and final scrimmage for coach Kirby Rasco’s Pioneers will be Friday (6 p.m.) in a three-way scrimmage at Iredell, also featuring Blanket.
