The Granbury High School Rodeo is going on today and Sunday at the North Texas High School Rodeo Arena in Saginaw (Loop 820 and U.S. 287). Performances are today at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. All teachers, administrators and employees in the Granbury and Tolar school districts, along with Hood County law enforcement officers and firefighters will be admitted free, as will all active duty military personnel. All GISD and TISD students will also receive a free hot dog at the concession stand. Crowning of the GISD and TISD Rodeo Team Queens will take place tonight. Church services will be held Sunday morning at 11:45 before the performances, conducted by Justin Whitehead, youth pastor at Triple Cross Cowboy Church. Events include bareback bronc, saddle bronc, bull riding, chute dogging, barrels and poles, goat tying, steer undecorating, breakaway roping, calf roping, team roping, ribbon roping and steer wrestling.
