Granbury Police Chief Mitch Galvan is back in the saddle – almost.
Galvan had surgery Tuesday in Fort Worth to replace his ailing right knee. He said his doctor told him it may be up to six weeks before he will be cleared to be back at the office full-time.
The chief said he had some old knee injuries, including one last year. He added that there were four prior surgeries, and there was no cartilage left so the replacement was the only option.
Galvan said Thursday that he had just been released from Harris Southwest and was heading home. He said that within a couple of weeks he should be able to go to work for a few hours at a time.
