Three not facing charges

April 19, 2014

Three individuals whose names were listed among the felony arrests in the April 12 edition of the Hood County News are not facing charges, according to officials.

A mistake was responsible for a felony count of deadly conduct-discharge firearm that was on the felony list for Sherry Palmer Gaston, 55, of the 2800 block of Overton Court in Granbury. Gaston has no charges against her, Hood County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant Johnny Rose said.

“This was a booking mistake, and she was never charged with the above,” Rose said.

Stemming from an April 4 arrest of Michael Dale Cheek, 27, and Amanda Sue McDonald, 27, both of Wichita Falls, they had been charged with tampering/fabricating physical evidence. The charges were declined by District Attorney Rob Christian, according to Deputy Chief Alan Hines of the Granbury Police Department.

“That case has been dismissed, (and) no charges will be filed on either of those individuals,” Hines said.
