John Knox, minister of the Granbury Church of Christ, speaks to those who gathered Thursday morning by the flagpole in front of Lake Granbury Medical Center for an “Emergency Partners’ Community Event” in support of the three CareFlite air ambulance crew members injured in a crash in Eastland County. Knox recited “The Medic’s Prayer” while addressing the crowd of co-workers, friends and other well-wishers. Among the other agencies besides CareFlite and LGMC represented were Texas EMS, the Granbury Police Department, Hood County Sheriff’s Office, Air Evac, DPS, Granbury Volunteer Fire Department and Hood County Fire Marshal’s Office. Teresa Campbell of Granbury, the flight nurse who was on board the helicopter, remains hospitalized in Texas Health Harris Methodist Fort Worth. No information on her condition, or on the other two injured crew members, has been released by the hospital or CareFlite officials. Campbell’s father-in-law J.C. Campbell said Thursday, “Evidently, things are going better,” but indicated he had no additional information.
