The Hood County July grand jury returned a no-bill in the case of a driver of a pickup that collided with a car driven by a Acton-area woman who died two weeks later.
Marcille Manley Booth, 87, died on April 1 in the ICU at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth from complications of her injuries.
She died about two weeks after the crash, which occurred in the 1900 block of Acton Highway in Granbury.
Granbury Police Department Deputy Chief Alan Hines said the man was never arrested or charged with a crime, but an investigator presented the case to the grand jury last month.
“The grand jury heard the case, and it is my understanding that the case was no-billed,” Hines said. “With the grand jury decision our case is closed.”
