Chris Kyle’s legacy

June 25, 2014

VFW Post 7835 hosted the first Chris Kyle Veterans Support Fund Bar-B-Que and Silent Auction Saturday. The Post has joined forces with Tarleton State University to raise money to help support the Chris Kyle Veterans Success Program at Tarleton. In 2013 Kyle and a companion, Chad Littlefield, were shot and killed at a shooting range. Another man with them was charged. Kyle’s family started the Chris Kyle Veteran Support Fund to continue his work at Tarleton in helping veterans receive a higher education after returning from service. Kyle was a Navy SEAL sharpshooter recorded as having the most number of sniper kills in U.S. history. Pictured with VFW members John Joffrion (left) and Larry Massoletti (right) are Chris Kyle’s parents, Deby and Wayne Kyle.
