Car vs. tree

July 2, 2014

Robert Ferry, a 92-year-old Granbury resident, was flown by air ambulance to Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth late Saturday afternoon after his Toyota Camry failed to make a curve on Acton Highway near the former Boy Scout Ranch and struck two trees, according to DPS Senior Trooper Dub Gillum. Ferry’s injuries were described as “incapacitating” by Gillum, but a hospital spokesman said that Ferry was no longer listed as a patient there as of Monday morning. He was wearing his seat belt, and no one else was involved in the crash, Gillum said.
