Granbury’s sales tax payment up 4 percent, but remains below average increase across the state

State sales tax revenue in May was $2.26 billion, up 7.9 percent compared to May 2012, according to Texas Comptroller Susan Combs.

Granbury’s monthly payment was up about 4 percent from last year, while Hood County’s monthly check was down about 8 percent.

For the year, Granbury is up about 3 percent over 2012.
