Rhett and Sharon Johnson of Granbury celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception on Sept. 7, 2013 hosted by their children: Michelle Francis and her husband Jason, Kim Wooley and her husband Brian; and granddaughters: Rhettlee Wooley, Amber Wooley, Chloe Francis and Bryn Francis. 

Sharon London of the Hog Creek Community located near Elbert married Rhett Johnson of Elbert on Sept. 7, 1963 in a garden wedding at the London homeplace. Rhett’s grandfather, Bro. H.G. Verner officiated. 

Rhett and Sharon celebrated their 50th anniversary with an Alaskan Cruise in June 2013.

Rhett retired from SCS/NRCS Natural Resource Conversation Service after 34 years of service. He was the director of the Grazing Lands Technology Institute when he retired.

Sharon, a program assistant, retired after working 26 years with the ASCS/FSA Farm Service Agency.
