Donald and Enid Huntley Davidson, of Granbury, celebrated their 70th anniversary on June 24, 2014 with a luncheon at Arbor House in Granbury.
The couple married June 24, 1944 in Shaker Heights, Ohio. They met as children in the third grade in Cleveland Heights, Ohio and have been lifelong friends.
Like most Air Force families, the Davidsons lived on various bases throughout the United States and also Bermuda and Japan. Both the Davidsons were real estate brokers and owned Century 21 Realtors offices in Dallas.
Lt. Col. Don Davidson, a World War II veteran established Central Air Rescue Center in Dallas which controlled rescue operations in the central United States.
Enid was a legal secretary and worked at Wright Field during the war. She was selected to take conference reporting for General of the Air Force Hap Arnold on his many conferences at Wright Field.
The couple have two sons, both of Pecan Plantation, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
