Langfords celebrate anniversary

Robert and Margaret Langford of Granbury, will celebrate their 50th anniversary during a trip to Colorado in June with their family.

James Robert Langford and the former Margaret Mildred Montgomery were married on June 2, 1963 in Las Cruces, N.M.

Robert and Margaret met in Las Cruces, N.M. while attending New Mexico State University. After college, they lived in Pampa, then McLean, soon moving to Perryton where they raised their family and both taught school. Robert was a coach and athletic director. They moved to Odessa in 1986 and retired in 1997, moving to their current home in Pecan Plantation.

They are members of Acton Baptist Church and enjoy spending as much time as possible with their family, the wonderful friends they have met here in Granbury, as well as traveling to see life-long friends in Las Cruces.

Robert and Margaret’s family includes their son, Chris, his wife Lezlie and children Kevin and Cade Langford of Arlington; son Monty, his wife Adi and children Pike, Luke and Lily Langford of Perryton, and daughter Molly, her husband Jason and their daughter Stella Key of Dallas. They also have a large extended family whom they see at every opportunity.

Personal Note: Happy 50th Anniversary Mom and Dad (a/k/a Mimi/Memaw and Papa). We love you so. Thank you for the example you have given us of a loving Christ-centered marriage. Your love, support and prayers for your children and grandchildren are immeasurable. We are so looking forward to celebrating this wonderful event together as a family in Colorado!
