Harold Ray and Peggy June DuVall, of Granbury, celebrated their 60th anniversary with a dinner at Farina’s Winery in Granbury on May 24, 2014. The celebration was hosted by their four children and spouses and 10 of their 11 grandchildren.
Harold Ray DuVall and the former Peggy June Brown were married on June 4, 1954 at Elmdale Baptist Church in Abilene.
The couple met and married in Abilene where they raised their family for 40 years.
Harold retired June 30, 1984 after 32 years with Southwestern Bell Telephone and AT&T.
Peggy retired from Abilene BKKPG and administration for the First Baptist Church of Abilene.
The couple moved to Granbury in 1993 where a normal anniversary celebration consists of staying home and enjoying their traditional Cokes and peanuts.
Harold and Peggy have four children; Pamela DuVall Boubel and husband, Gary of Santa Barbara, Calif., David DuVall of Wichita, Kan., Dan DuVall and wife, Carol of Crowley, and June Duvall Lancarte and husband, Jessie of Aledo; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
