Adrianne Amyett of Acton and Shane Skelton of Granbury were united in marriage on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014 at the Dora Lee Langdon Concert Hall in Granbury. The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Rev. Bill Pitts. The couple worked together to tie a Celtic heart knot before exchanging heartfelt vows that they each had written.
The bride is the daughter of Tim and Dianne Amyett of Acton. Grandparents of the bride are Raymond and Modena King of Granbury and Jewel Amyett of Cleburne.
The groom is the son of Eugene and Marci Skelton of Cleburne. Grandparents of the groom are Alvin and Verla Galloway of San Antonio.
Emma Halstead served as maid of honor. Bridal attendants were sisters of the bride Stephanie Maher and Whitney Amyett. Flower girl was Arawyn Gonzales.
Jimmy Thomason served as best man. Ringbearer was Alek Amyett. Ushers were Collin Maher, Grant Clem, Ben Smith and Aaron King.
The bride’s brother, Warren Amyett provided music for the ceremony with vocalists Stephanie Maher and Whitney Amyett. The event was photographed by Julie Bradley and Abby King.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Dora Lee Langdon Concert Hall. Prior to the wedding, a rehearsal dinner at Pastafina in Granbury was hosted by Shane Skelton.
The bride is a graduate of Granbury High School and attended Tarrent County College in Arlington while pursuing an associate of arts degree with honors. She is currently self-employed as a freelance artist in Granbury.
The groom is a graduate of Cleburne High School and has an associate of applied science degree from Texas State Technical College in Waco as well as a bachelor of fine arts from Midwestern State University. He is employed as an INC Tech with Luminant at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant in Glen Rose.
Following a wedding trip to La Cantera Hill Country Resort in San Antonio, the couple will reside in their new house in Granbury.
