What’s not to love about this quick and easy dessert—chocolate, pudding, cake and whipped cream. Doesn’t that cover all the dessert food groups?!

Home cook Colleen Gilbert turned a regular tiramisu into something delectable with her Tiramisu Trifle. If you have an issue finding ladyfingers, Gilbert suggests substituting angel food or pound cake. I think either would be delish!

Tiramisu Trifle

2 tbsp instant coffee

1 1/2 c water, cold

4 c low-fat milk

2 pkg 3.9 oz. devil’s food chocolate pudding

1 8 oz. pkg cream cheese

24 ladyfingers

8 oz. semi-sweet mini chocolate chips

1 8 oz. container whipping cream (I prefer to make fresh.)

1/2 tsp cocoa powder


Pour coffee granules in a glass measuring cup with the water and microwave uncovered 1 min. Let stand in microwave.

Mix milk, pudding, and cream cheese in a large bowl on medium.

Split ladyfingers in half lengthwise and put in bottom of trifle dish, cut side up.

Drizzle 1/4 of coffee mix evenly over ladyfingers.

Spread 1/4 of pudding mix over that.

Spread 1/4 of whipped cream over that.

Sprinkle 1/4 of chocolate chips over that.

Repeat that 3 more times ending with whipped cream. Dust with cocoa powder and cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 6 hours.
