Author’s love story continues 73 years

Granbury author Audrey Syse Fahlberg gives readers a glimpse into her life with her book, “Triumphant Love: WWII, a Blink into Our Seventy Three Year Marriage.”

The book is filled with snippets about her hardships and happiness as a wife and mother while her husband was with the Tenth Mountain Division in Italy during World War II.

A book signing is planned at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19 at Lakestone Terrace, 916 E. Highway 377.

Fahlberg was born and raised in Blanchardville, Wisconsin by Norwegian parents. She married Willson J. Fahlberg on July 30, 1938. She majored in communication arts at the University of Houston. She has been affiliated with numerous communication and journalism-related associations, published her own newspaper, “Convention Scene Houston,” headed her own corporation more than 30 years and traveled to 150 countries.

Fahlberg has four children, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
