School to consider Largent’s contract

June 14, 2014

The Granbury School Board will consider extending Superintendent Jim Largent’s contract Monday evening.

A salary increase is also a possibility, indicated school board President Mark Jackson.

Largent, hired two years ago, makes $190,335 a year. He’s one of the highest paid public officials in Hood County.

Largent was given a three-year contract when hired in the spring of 2012. He has two years left on his contract, which extends through June 2016.

At the meeting a facilities update will be given related to the $85 million issue.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the school board meeting room, corner of Bridge and Morgan streets.
