Brawner students learn about water conservation

March 26, 2014

Students at Brawner Intermediate School got a lesson on the water cycle, aquifers and other science-related topics from a special speaker with the Texas Wildlife Association last week.

The interactive program covered the water cycle, from rainfall to infiltration into our aquifers. Students now recognize the impact a glass of water has on Texas aquifers, rivers and the Gulf of Mexico.

Students created a desktop aquifer for the classroom to keep and use in future scientific experiments.
