NCTA girls thinking of No. 6

Gabriela Bianchi was in Brazil when her sister Carolina won a state championship with the North Central Texas Academy Lady Pioneers in 2014.

Pioneers loaded for more

Moments after the North Central Academy Pioneers defeated Kingwood Northeast Christian 67-65 for the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools Class A state championship, KNC coach Christopher Schoettelkotte had something to say to NCTA coach Kirby Rasco.

CCA boys lose twice at state tournament

WILLOW PARK – Friday’s controversial loss in the semifinal round of the state basketball tournament may have been even more frustrating than Saturday’s defeat in the third-place game for the Cornerstone Christian Academy Crusaders.

Only two referees were assigned to each game in the Texas Christian Athletic Fellowship’s Class Div. II state tournament played at Trinity Christian Academy, and disputed calls were in abundance in the Crusaders’ 69-60 overtime loss to Azle Christian.
