Crusaders battle cry: No regrets

No regrets.

Cornerstone Christian Academy’s Crusaders should have that mentality when they leave the field in 2015, according to head football coach Chris Eikenhorst.

That’s the motto in play, coming off a 6-7 season in which the Crusaders reached the Texas Christian Athletic Fellowship Six-Man Div. II state championship game. They lost a 114-64 slugfest to Azle Christian, which finished as an unbeaten (12-0) state champion.

Scores can be deceiving.

The boxer who knocks out his opponent in a few rounds might have actually experienced a bigger challenge than it appeared, for example.

And a sweep of a volleyball match might not be a routine victory, such as Tolar coach Scotty Miller can attest to following Tuesday 25-23, 25-14, 25-21 win at Hico.
