District 7-4A Meet – Granbury qualifies 14 (10 boys, 4 girls) for next Wednesday’s area meet at Joshua. Chris Richardson qualified in three events (400, 200, 1600 relay), Nick Doughty qualified in two (triple jump, long jump) and Emma Thomas advanced in two (3200, 1600).

Granbury’s Chelsea Judge and Alexis Gapinski qualified for the Region I Tournament next Wednesday and Thursday in Abilene. Judge, on the Granbury A team, was sixth among medalists with a 192 (96-96) and Gapinski, on the B team, was eighth with a 195 (96-99). They were the two highest finishers from a team that did not qualify for regionals.… Read the rest

Rain has forced postponement of the first day of the District 7-4A Track Meet at Clark Stadium in Fort Worth, along with the second day of the 7-4A Girls Golf Tournament at Pecan Valley. Track will now be Thursday and Friday, and girls golf will conclude Thursday after having played the first day Tuesday.… Read the rest

Wichita Falls Rider 2, Granbury 0
Christian Okeke scored both goals for Raiders (22-5-2). Granbury (20-4-5) had a man advantage for the final 22:32 following a Raiders’ ejection. Rider, the 2012 state runners-up, advances to the Region I Tournament this weekend in Wichita Falls. Granbury ends its best season since 2003, becoming only the second team in school with 20 wins and posting 14 shutouts, one shy of school record.… Read the rest

Pirates move to fourth round of soccer playoffs
Class 4A Region I Boys Sectional Soccer playoff – Granbury 2, Lake Ridge 0, defense posts 14th shutout, one shy of the school record. This is only the second team in school history to win 20 games and their deepest playoff trip in a decade.
