GISD announces schedule changes for sports

Several upcoming schedule changes were announced on Thursday, involving various GISD teams, including:
The Granbury High School swim teams’ dual meet at Crowley, which had been set for Saturday, Oct. 11, has been canceled.
Granbury Middle School 7th grade girls basketball games starting times against Stephenville teams on Dec. 15 have been changed.…

Aledo tops Lady Pirates in volleyball showdown

Granbury got off to a slow start and couldn’t rebound Tuesday against a stout Aledo team as the visiting Ladycats posted a 25-16, 25-13, 25-22 victory over the Lady Pirates in a matchup of two of the top 11 Class 5A teams in the state at James Wann Sports Center. With the win, Aledo maintained its lead in District 8-5A with an 8-0 mark, while second-place Granbury slipped to 7-2 and 24-9 overall.…

GHS boys Purple Team finishes fourth in Brazos Classic

The Granbury High School varsity boys golf Purple Team finished in fourth place Monday with a team score of 656 in the Brazos Classic, an annual 36-hole event played at both Pecan Plantation Golf Course and Nutcracker Golf Course and hosted by GHS. Amarillo Tascosa won the team title with a 612, followed by Mansfield Legacy at 650 and Arlington Heights with a 651.…

Cornerstone Christian wins district opener; NCTA falls
