Lady Rattlers split six in Snyder Softball Tournament

The Tolar Lady Ratlers won three and lost three in the Snyder Tournament this weekend, going 1-2 on Friday’s opening day of play and 2-1 on Saturday. Tolar (4-9) defeated Forsan 4-3 before falling 18-6 to Brownfield and 8-1 to Snyder JV. Saturday, they lost 9-2 to Greenwood before defeating Lubbock Trinity 19-2 and Post 16-4.…

Pirates get two-hitter from freshman

The Granbury Pirates got a two-hit shutout from freshman pitcher Lachlyn McPhie as they defeated Fort Smith, Ark. 1-0 Saturday at Tidwell Field. The Pirates (5-2-1) also played Keller to a 4-4 tie in a second game that went nine innnings. They open District 8-5A Tuesday at Burleson.…
