Lady Rattlers win big in district opener; Lady Pirates bested at home by rival

The Tolar Lady Rattlers made short work of Santo Tuesday, winning their District 11-2A softball opener 20-1. The Lady Rattlers, who have won three straight, are 5-9 overall and have outscored their opponents 55-7 in those three wins.

The Granbury Lady Pirates dropped a District 8-5A softball game to rival Cleburne, 17-5, at home Tuesday.…

Granbury soccer teams to play final home games Tuesday; Pirates chasing district title

The Granbury Pirates and Lady Pirates will play at home for the final time this season (barring a possible home playoff game for the boys) when Aledo comes to town. The boys play at 5:30 p.m. and the girls at 7:30 p.m. The Pirates are in second place in District 8-5A with 26 standings points, two behind league leading Everman and one ahead of Cleburne and Crowley with two games to play.…

Lady Rattlers split six in Snyder Softball Tournament

The Tolar Lady Ratlers won three and lost three in the Snyder Tournament this weekend, going 1-2 on Friday’s opening day of play and 2-1 on Saturday. Tolar (4-9) defeated Forsan 4-3 before falling 18-6 to Brownfield and 8-1 to Snyder JV. Saturday, they lost 9-2 to Greenwood before defeating Lubbock Trinity 19-2 and Post 16-4.…
