Once upon a time, in the state of Wisconsin, two young mothers-to-be strolled together, each awaiting the arrival of their first child. Barbara Ann Cassel was born May 12, 1942 to Bill and Elsa Cassel and David Michael Hoeppner was born June 23, 1942 to Fred and Marie Hoeppner.

David and Barbara grew up side by side.

Thomas Marvin Casey and Glenda Kay Boardman were married on March 26, 1965 at the First United Methodist Chapel in Coleman.

The couple met in high school in Coleman.

Grandparents are Richard and Sharon Iley of Stephenville, Glen and Laura Levisay of Bluff Dale, and Mick and Denise Huber of Glen Rose.

The couple was married Dec. 26, 1954 in New Lenox, Illinois at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, while Mr. Schnick was serving in the United States Air Force.

After serving 20 years in the Air Force, Bob worked 25 years for Hewlett Packard Company.

Fifty years ago, Bill Mitchell and Gloria Neighbors met in the Careless Hearts Bowling League in Dallas. They were married on December 12, 1964 in Irving.

The couple lived in Dallas, then Bedford, and have lived in Granbury for the past four years. Bill had a career in the air freight business and Gloria assisted teaching students with learning disabilities, and loved it.
