Students from Spain in Granbury Oct. 3-16

Eleven students from Spain will be in Granbury for a cultural exchange Oct. 3-16. The students are juniors and seniors at Instituto de Educación Secundaria Ies Ramón Areces in Grado, a city in northern Spain. Sheriff’s Office: Suspect arrested at airport, charged with murder

Savanna McIntare, a 41-year-old woman listing Haltom City as her place of residence, was arrested at about 10 a.m. today (Sept. 25) at DFW International Airport and charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of her husband, Donald Ray McIntare Sr., according to Hood County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Organizers hope to fill truck with diapers

Southside Baptist is providing a dump truck to collect diapers and wipes for families. The truck will be at Walmart from 8 a.m. until noon Saturday, Oct. 5. If the thought of putting baby things in the back of the dump truck seems a little unsanitary – not to worry! Sgt. Riley Stephens Memorial 5K/Fun Run this Saturday

The Sgt. 1st Class Riley G. Stephens Memorial Scholarship Fund 5K Run/Fun Run will be this Saturday in Tolar on the one-year anniversary of his death during a gun battle in Afghanistan. Blockbuster closing store in Granbury

Blockbuster video store on South Morgan Street is closing its doors. Store Manager John Birley said the store is closing due to an increase in the lease. Suspects in shingles theft evade authorities

Lakeside planning Christmas festival on the square
