Child endangerment suspect’s name released

The Hood County Sheriff’s office says that Briana Delbridge, 18, of Granbury is the person in custody in connection with the death of a 3-year-old Friday at Lake Granbury. Delbridge is expected to be charged with endangerment of a child. She was the babysitter in charge of the boy and his 2-year-old sister at their home in Sandy Beach.…

Boy found underneath boat dock pronounced dead

A spokesperson for the Hood County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that the two year old boy who went missing this morning and was found underneath a boat dock at Lake Granbury has been pronounced dead.  The boy was reported missing by his babysitter early this morning and his bike was later found next to the dock at Sandy Beach.…

Two year old missing in Sandy Beach area

Law enforcement is coordinating at Sandy Beach Drive and Ray Road to search for a two year old boy who was reported missing by his babysitter this morning. The boy is reported to have red shaggy hair but no description of clothing was available. The boy’s bike was found at the Sandy Beach Boat Dock so officials will also be conducting a search in the water.…

County in flash flood watch until Wednesday

Hood and other area counties were placed in a flash flood watch starting at 1 p.m. today (Tuesday, May 12), according to the National Weather Service. The flood watch is slated to continue until 7 p.m. Wednesday (May 13). There is a chance of thunderstorms, lightning and hail. Ridge Roberts performing tonight to raise money for nationals

Ridge Roberts, Hood County’s 12-year-old fiddling phenom, will be performing tonight during a show billed as the “Ridge Express” at the Granbury Live Theater. The show, to raise money to help his family take him to the National Oldtime Fiddlers Contest this June in Idaho, will also include other local entertainers including Sean Mitchell and Kristyn Harris, a Collin County singer who won the 2014 Western Music Association’s Female Performer of the Year award.…
