Cattle raisers to meet Tuesday

The 60th Hood County Junior Livestock Shows gets under way today at the Granbury Reunion Grounds for a four-day run. Over 430 4-H and FFA members have projects, including steers, heifers, pigs, goats, lambs, chickens and rabbits. The Hood County Sheriff Dept. needs your help locating a missing woman. Rhonda Johnson reported her mother, Betty Prather, missing shortly after midnight Saturday morning. Prather was expected back home at 802 Thicket Trail around 4:30 to 5:00 p.m. Friday after driving back from Cedar Hill. Prather never made it home.…

Bridges and overpasses in Hood County are still icy, but traffic is flowing, Sheriff Roger Deeds said Thursday morning. Police were searching a Crowley neighborhood Wednesday night for a murder suspect after he crashed a vehicle between Cresson and Godley and apparently stealing a vehicle later in Cresson, according to law enforcement and media reports.
