The North Central Texas boys were fourth and the girls sixth at the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools Class A State Cross Country Meet.
The Pioneers scored 102 points. Amarillo Ascension won with the low score of 23.
The Lady Pioneers scored 120, while Ascension also had the low score among the girls with 26.
Cale Dodson was the top finisher among the NCTA boys, finishing 15th with a time of 19 minutes, 45.4 seconds over the 3.1-mile course.… Read the rest
The Cornerstone Crusaders won the first district championship in their three-year history of varsity football Friday, defeating Fort Worth Nazarene 61-49 at home.
The victory improved the Crusaders to 9-1 overall and 2-0 in Texas Christian Athletic Fellowship Six-Man District 4. It’s the most victories in their history, eclipsing the 8-4 record two years ago.
Cornerstone was 6-6 last season, advancing to the second round in the Texas Christian Athletic League in each of its first two seasons.… Read the rest
The North Central Texas Academy Pioneers moved above the .500 mark Friday with a 62-12 victory against Fort Worth Covenant Classical in the Pioneers’ final home game of the season.

It was a long way to go, but those who made the trip to Odessa Friday night saw the Brendan Brawley show as Cornerstone defeated Latter Rain 52-24 in a Texas Christian Athletic Fellowship football game.

Behind the play of Tyler Hoskins, the North Central Texas Academy Pioneers reached the .500 mark for the first time this season with Friday’s 84-49 victory at Wichita Falls Christian.
Hoskins rushed 22 times for 288 yards and six touchdowns. He also caught a pass for an 18-yard touchdown as the Pioneers improved to 4-4 overall and 1-1 in Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools Six-Man Division II District 2.… Read the rest

The nondistrict victory improved the Pioneers to 3-4. Led by Forrest Copenhaver, the Cornerstone Crusaders won at Fort Worth Hill 63-18 Friday.
Copenhaver rushed 10 times for 204 yards and four touchdowns. He was also 8-for-19 for 124 yards and three touchdowns. On defense he had five tackles and an interception.
And he did most of this with an injured hand.

The Cornerstone Crusaders had to switch opponents at the last minute, but they still rolled big in a homecoming victory, topping Dallas Inspired Vision 63-18 Friday night.
Waco Parkview, their original opponent, had to back out of the game because they could not a field due to too many injuries.

The North Central Texas Academy Pioneers started strong, but top-ranked Wichita Falls Notre Dame finished stronger in a 76-26 victory in both teams’ Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools Six-Man Division II District 3 opener Friday night.
