Tolar man facing sexual assault of child charge

James Bradley Smith, 51, of Tolar, was arrested on Jan. 2 by members of the Hood County Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Texas Rangers on Jan. 2, then charged with two second-degree felony offenses – indecency with a child-sexual contact, and sexual assault of a child, according to District Attorney Rob Christian. The victim was 15 years old at the time of the incidents, Christian said.
