Teenager rescued from water by BRA ranger after catamaran flips

A 14-year-old boy who was on a catamaran that flipped over near the dam southeast of Granbury shortly after 8 p.m. on Tuesday was rescued from the water by a Brazos River Authority ranger in his patrol boat, according to emergency scanner traffic. The boy reportedly was wearing a flotation device and is believed to be okay despite a lengthy struggle with the overturned vessel.
