Still time to get flu shot

It’s not too late to get vaccinated against the influenza virus. State health officials are reporting that the flu season took off earlier than expected. “Influenza is characterized by the abrupt onset of fever, muscle aches, sore throat, and a nonproductive cough,” according to Denise Pratz, RN, infection control preventionist at Lake Granbury Medical Center. “We had 34 flu-like illnesses last week at Lake Granbury Medical Center with six testing positive for flu A and three positive for flu B.”
