Granbury Mayor Rickie Pratt reportedly has still not signed a contract approved by the City Council more than a month ago to hire a Fort Worth company to finish the long-delayed Opera House renovation project because he is still hoping to incorporate the St. Helen’s building. At the request of an unhappy Tony Allen, the City Council will be discussing the Opera House at its regular meeting Tuesday night, Nov. 27. Gary Couch, who will be sworn in at the top of the meeting, said Monday that there has never been a cost analysis done to determine whether the city might actually save money by incorporating the donated St. Helen’s building into the renovation.
