Slippery when wet; another injured crash victim transported

January 8, 2013

The strange substance on the streets and highways of Hood County is called rain, and it can make driving more hazardous even when the temperature is above freezing, as some drivers are discovering. An 18-year-old Granbury man in a Ford F-150 pickup was transported to Lake Granbury Medical Center for treatment of possible head and arm injuries after the driver lost control of the vehicle and it jumped over a curb and struck a small tree in the 1200 block of Hill Boulevard in Granbury just before 3 p.m. Tuesday, according to a Granbury Police Department officer at the scene and emergency scanner reports. The driver and one other passenger in the pickup were not transported from the scene, the officer said.
