Sheriff’s Office: Extra patrols to enforce DWI laws during New Year’s holiday period

The Hood County Sheriff’s Office will have extra DWI deputy patrols out along with extra reserves from 8 p.m. tonight (Monday, Dec. 31) “until the early-morning hours” of New Year’s Day, Chief Deputy Biff Temple said. The Texas DPS announced earlier that extra troopers would be on patrol from Dec. 21 through Jan. 1.
