Light snow fell overnight, but Hood County highways are only wet this morning because temperatures remain above freezing, Sheriff Roger Deeds said. “A few flakes” fell, but it didn’t stick, Deeds said. “The storm system broke apart and went south of us.” Light snow is still possible this morning, but little or no accumulation is expected, according to the National Weather Service. Bridges and overpasses may become slushy if enough snow/sleet falls.
