Sheriff: Everyone out of Rancho Brazos during current line of storms

Hood County Sheriff Roger Deeds said that residents of Rancho Brazos and those who were working to clear debris and other volunteers were ordered out of the subdivision as of 2 p.m. today (Tuesday, May 21) because of a line of severe thunderstorms moving through the area. “When the line of storms passes we will open it back up until 8 p.m.,” Deeds said. Six people were killed and dozens injured during an EF-4 tornado that ripped through the subdivision last Wednesday.
