School: GHS students highly competitive

December 29, 2012

Granbury High students are highly competitive with other students in Texas and in the Fort Worth area, as measured by state and national performance standards in a newly released report from the Texas Education Agency, school officials said. Assistant Superintendent Carol Howard said, “These measures help our GHS students compete for admission and scholarship opportunities in top post-secondary institutions. Additionally, colleges, universities, and technical certification programs consider courses, grades, leadership, service, personal essays and letters of recommendation. Our GHS students can add a multitude of experiences to their resumes with opportunities that abound in our high school programs.”
