Ribbon cutting date set for Loop 567 extension

May 9, 2013

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has asked county officials to “save the date” for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to open the new extension of Loop 567. The extension, which runs between Highway 51 and East Pearl Street, will provide commuters in the northern part of the county a time saving shortcut, allowing them to bypaass the stop signs on the square. The Saturday, May 11, issue of the Hood County News will have details of when the extension is expected to finally open.
