Rain still lacking for Hood County

It wasn’t enough. Not near enough. Rain fell Monday morning, but it appears it was light and spotty. Over an inch was reported a week ago in Tolar. “We did not get into the drought overnight, and one rain will not get us out of the drought,” County Agent Marty Vahlenkamp said. “Many of our livestock people still need tank water for their livestock. In addition, more rain is needed to replenish soil moisture.” No rain is forecast for the rest of the week.
