Public lewdness arrest leads to felony charge

Sonya Margarita Valadez, a 22-year-old resident of Forest Park Drive in the Oak Trail Shores subdivision, ended up with a felony charge after first being arrested on Tuesday along with a 19-year-old Granbury man on a misdemeanor count of public lewdness when a Sheriff’s Office Deputy discovered them in a vehicle “performing a sex act in a public place,” Lieutenant Johnny Rose said. After Valadez was placed in the patrol car, she freed herself and fled on foot, Rose said. Because she had a previous conviction of evading arrest, Valadez’s charge was enhanced to a state jail felony, Rose explained.
