Deputy Chief Alan Hines of the Granbury Police Department said that an investigation is ongoing into a reported incident from Tuesday morning in the parking lot of a grocery store on Highway 377 East in Granbury in which a 911 caller reported a person there with a knife, and that a person in a vehicle tried to run over someone. Hines said that, since then, officers made contact with both parties involved and took statements about the incident. Hines said that it now appears the knife was pulled “not for a threat but for protection,” and added that investigators are “trying to weed through it all” so they can determine what actually took place. No one was injured during the incident, Hines added.
