OTS woman gets prison sentence for retaliation conviction

Karen Ladell Adams, 59, of the 3700 block of Oak Meadow Street in the Oak Trail Shores subdivision northwest of Granbury, on Thursday was convicted in 355th Judicial District Court of a third-degree felony count of retaliation and sentenced to six years in prison, District Attorney Rob Christian said. Adams threatened to kill District Judge Ralph Walton, Hood County Sheriff’s Office Captain Jerry East and Sheriff Roger Deeds in connection with another case, according to Christian. The jury needed only 15 to 20 minutes to return with the guilty plea, Christian noted.
