A 24-year-old Oak Trail Shores man on Monday in County Court at Law was convicted of a Class A misdeanor charge of animal cruelty. He was sentenced to 90 days in the county jail and fined $2,000, Animal Control Sergeant Kelly McNab said. The man’s 2-year-old pit bull mix was malnourished, weighing only 34.4 pounds. It should have weighed between 55 and 65 pounds, according to McNab.
