The reactor unit that was shut down last Friday (Nov. 2) at the Comanche Peak nuclear power plant remains offline, according to a representative of Luminant Generation Co., which operates the plant. Meanwhile, the representative said early today (Nov. 8) that that power has been temporarily reduced on the second reactor unit at the site because of a tube leak on an auxiliary condenser on the non-nuclear side of the plant. “We’ll be back up to 100 percent once this routine maintenance has been completed,” Luminant Corporate Communications Manager Ashley Barrie said of Unit No. 2.
